ANAMMCO Motors is one of Nigeria’s foremost vehicle manufacturing companies, established under the Second National Development Plan (1970–1975) by the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN). Officially incorporated on January 17, 1977, the company’s factory was commissioned on July 8, 1980 by Nigeria’s first Executive President, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, with commercial truck production beginning in January 1981.
ANAMMCO was born out of a strategic joint venture between the Federal Government of Nigeria and Daimler AG, the original technical partner known globally for the Mercedes-Benz brand.
